velodurt: I enjoyed your entertaining trip report and excellent photos. I wish I hadn't read the part about scanning the perimeter of the bed though...I can so easily imagine myself sitting there with a flashlight on the bed in the dark, wondering what is sneaking up on me! I like reading trip reports before I book a trip, because they give you a realistic idea of what to expect. Maybe in this case a little too much realism!
I'm close to booking Bosque del Cabo for a trip for my husband and I. But I dunno...I'm kinda nervous. Our first visit to Costa Rica, I loved the Monteverde Cloud forest and the Hanging Bridges at Arenal. I enjoyed staying at the Lost Iguana. But I haven't ever stayed in a room in a tropical area that's as open as the cabinas at Bosque.
My husband isn't nervous...he's a biologist/herpetologist. But we all have our own individual fears. I guess I'm nervous about little things that might sneak up on me in the dark especially!
