Too wind in Patagonia in January ?
People, I plan to go to El Calafate and Torres del Paine next January but I´ve head that is too windy there at this season ... Is that true ?
My husband has problems of sinusites and I am afraid he gest sick easily ...

I don't think you can escape the wind in Patagonia. The only time when it is not windy is, surprisingly, in winter. I found it extremely windy in the Fitzroy area of Los Glaciares national park, but I also had a number of days of absolutely spectacular weather.
Torres wasn't as windy as Los Glaciares, but I did experience a few days of high winds. The weather is highly variable, so it's hard to predict. Patagonia is known for its wind, so its part of the experience. I wouldn't let it stop you from visiting. It's not windy every day, and you can have truly great weather in January.
