Carol, we were in BA a couple of years ago and lucked into a wonderful experience. There's a flea market in the San Telmo area and if you wander around you will most certainly come across a wonderful couple doing the tango. In fact, not long after our return home, the magazine SAVEUR, had an article on BA and featured these same two dancers - they were quite amazing. Also, the food is wonderful especially the steaks and pizza. Enjoy your trip!

OK, how about free??
La Boca, right off Carmelito
at a place called El Mejor Lugar De La Boca on Del Valle Iberlucea 1151
(Tel# 4301-1520)
It's a restaraunt with the white linen tablecloths, roses in a vase, waiter all snazzy and dancers dancing the tango and singers singing tango all while you eat. Is it expensive? I took a family of six there and spent around 30 pesos for a decent lunch (15 US dollars)
afterwards, you can get your picture taken with the dancers in various poses all for free
Osvaldo, the singer and emcee was just great at getting the audience involved.

Try "Tango por dos" show by Miguel A.
Zotto. They have been touring Europe
last year, and now returned to Bs.As.
This is the biggest show in the city,
and the dancers are fantastic, especially two young couples. There is a show every night, and the ads are around the city, it is hard to miss it.
