This may sound crazy, but it suddenly occured to me that staying in the Osa may mean sleeping in a hot, humid, sticky, room for 5 nights! I have not seen anyone complain about the sleeping environment at Lapa Rios or Bosque Del Cabo - is it comfortable??

I can only speak for sleeping at Bosque del Cabo. All 5 nights I slept like a rock, and I usually have to take something to go to sleep here at home! Especially if you're out hiking all day like I was, 9:30 was about the latest I could stay up. The cabinas at BdC are perched on a cliff over the Pacific so they have some really good breezes coming in, plus there is a small fan by the bed that can help too. There are a lot of windows & doors with slats, so just from personal experience I never found it uncomfortable.

Yes, it is sticky, hot and humid (at least it was that way when we stayed at Lapa Rios in August a few years ago). Sleeping was not very comfortable. The fans help a bit but sleeping under the mosquito net negates some of the effects of the fans. I have never experienced humidity like we have had on Osa.

I visited Osa twice. In 2003 we stayed at Casa Corcovado. In 2004 - Bosque del Cabo. Both times in the beginning of December. I had feared humidity during night time before my first stay. I was absolutely surprised to discover that it was quite comfortable at night. I even did not need a fan some nights, and I needed very light blanket at BDQ. Both CC and BDQ are on the cliff, which gives you nice breeze. But again, I was there in December.

I was at Bosque 5/22-26. It was hot and humid during the day, expecially on the trails. I found it comfortable at night and during the day sitting on the porch over looking the ocean. We did not use the fan.

It is hot and humid, but what kept me awake was the noise. It is really really noisy with the bugs, bats, lizards, and who knows what else. This noise rivals anything else I've ever heard. It's not a decimal sort of thing or the noise pollution that we have from trucks and cars, just a contstant buz, scretch, rattle, beep, waves crashing thing that happens once it gets dark.
