Should I take a side trip?

Hi everyone, in the little time I have (kid) I try to search and get as much info as possible. I will be going to Buenos Aires for 5 complete days at the end of April alone with the hubby; this is alot for me given than I also work full time. Do you think that we should take a side trip during those days , lets say to Iguazu or Mendoza? Or is this too short of a trip? Please give me your input.

I also have 2 hotel reservation in BA, Mine Hotel Boutique and Broadway Suites. Need to cancel one, what do you think?

Thank youuuuuuu.

Given that we were in Iguazu for 2 nights and I thought it was too short, I'm not sure you will have time. That being said, Iguazu is well worth going to. But we were also in BA for 5 days (4 nights) and I felt I could have stayed there longer also. The flight to Iguazu is about 1 1/2 hours and doesn't always run on time, from what I have heard. Sorry I can't help with the hotels. We stayed at the Amerian Buenos Aires Park Hotel. Very nice and centrally located. Enjoy BA!

Instead of going somewhere far like the falls, try going over to Colonia or down to TIgre. You could also go on a day trip to an estancia.

we really enjoyed getting up into the delta beyond Tigre for a day ( u could also stay overnight) but this is weather dependent as it is basically about being outdoors. We spent 10nights i believe in Bs As on our honeymoon dec/jan and loved it . great city for doing attractions etc or doing nothing
cheers

ps one of the hotels we stayed in , in addition to an apartment we rented, was the wonderful BoBo. I believe the Mine is also in the cool Palermo Soho neighborhood

Tigre was a really nice diversion (although we were there over a holiday so lots of other people had the same idea!). We took a cruise around the waterways and it was nice and relaxing. Then had a great lunch/dinner at La Terraza overlooking the river.

And I agree that BA is the kind of city you can spend time just wandering or sitting in cafes and watching the world go by.
