If that is the former Melia Conchal...there aren't any shops around..There are two gift stores near the airport that a van will take you with other people I believe. If you get a chance nd go into town..there is a little market..buy lots of coffee..make sure it's puro (no sugar) and we buy the beans for our coffee loving friends and at the airport they sell a coffe liquer that is good.. For more info on the Conchal write me [email protected] ....we spent a great week there a few years ago...loved the place

Probably the best all inclusive on the coast! You will love it. For shopping and an evening/afternoon out, go to Tamarindo, some great little restaurants and shops. If you want to see animals while floating up a river on a pontoon boat just ask at the front desk for the Palo verdi river tour. Try to book the first morning tour before the animals move back inland. I have some friends here that do this tour and this is their suggestion! Another great tour is sailing/fishing/snorkeling on The Shannon, moored in Flamingo. Mark is the captain and offer wonderful tours. Have fun!
Michael
[email protected]
