There is a new all inclusive in Playa Del Carmen -- Secrets Capri Resort. Just opened. Has anyone been and what did you think?

Everything I have read says it isn't open yet. Supposedly this weekend....

I have read that it will open the second week in November. Also was informed that it is very expensive, like 30% more than Royal Hideaway. Has anyone received a quote from an agent or seen resort rates?

Secrets Capri should open on Novemebr 1, 2003. A week at secrets with air out of Chicago is $1725.00 per person and Royal Hideaway is $2070.00 per person.

Around the 17th of October, my travel agent said it had opened but was more expensive (by about $300 per person) than the RH or the Riu Palace. Seems like the Secrets Capri is testing the waters.

Jill......I received two quotes for Secrets Capri for 7 nights and they were both over $1970 (that's air out BWI, how much does that change your $1725). What is a reasonable price for 10 nights in Feb, do the prices increase much ? I think Kat is right, Secrets Punta Cana is very cost competitive with like resorts in the DR.

I just called the Resort and they are officially open as of Novemebr 1.

i just took a quick look and found Secrets for $1900.00 for 7 nights out of BWI. This ws on a charter flight. If you go 10 nights it would be scheduled air.

I am going to Secrets Capri next Sunday (11/9-11/15). My total package was approx $1,900 for two incl airfare. Would be happy to post a review once I return. Thanks for all the responses!

SECRETS CAPRI TELEPHONE: I would like to call the resort. Does anyone have a telephone number?

A trip report from those that have returned would be wonderful.

Is the resort still under constuction? Was there construction noise?
What would the view of a "Run Of The House" room be?
How was the food?
Were there lots of lounge chairs for the pool and beach?
We are considering this hotel in February.
