restaraunts on Ambergis Caye

I am going on spring break with my family (5 kids) next week. Can anyone suggest restaraunts on Ambergis Caye that have great food, local flavor that I can take all my kids to or any other things that shouldn't be missed? Also, seems like the Blue Hole is too advanced for my husband and 15 and 14 year olds to dive? Is the ATM tour in the jungle ok for kids? Thanks!

BH is an advanced dive, ask the dive master if you're capable. I use Amigos. Blue Water Grill, Mangos, Celi's, Mickeys, etc. ATM is fantastic and no problem for kids.

The Blue Water Grill has amazing Snapper and Snook. Mango's, Carolina, and Caramba are also excellent. However, my favorite place was a little local restarant (just past Banyan Bay, across from the Indain owned store) that served the best chicken for a few dollars.

However, I don't recommend anything shrimp there. It's chewy. I don't know if it's overcooked, but it is a lot different than states.

Our favorite tour was Lamani.
