Recent trip to Argentina

My husband and I recently returned from a trip to Argentina (9/19/99). If anyone needs information on places to stay and eat in Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Posadas, Iguazu Falls feel free to email me.

I'm a vegetarian so I can also provide advice on eating in Argentina and foods to bring with you so you won't starve.

Hi Kathy,

I am going to an Antarctica trip early
next February. I'll return to Buenos
Aires on 2/17 at 2:00pm. I plan to leave
Buenos Aires for Miami on 2/20, 8:00pm.

I'd like to go see the Iguazu Falls and
the rain forest during those 3+ days. Do
you think it is possible?

If the answer is yes, what's the best
way for the tour and whom should I
contact for making the necessary
arrangement?

Thanks very much for your help.

Kang

You will love Buenos Aires...We stayed at the Park Hyatt...great hotel, but not cheap. Our United flight was cancelled...after sitting in the airport all night....and they put us up in El Presidente Hotel. It was a dump...one to stay away from...I think they rent that by the hour! Have a wonderful trip.

Kathy,
Hi, I'm taking a trip to Buenos Aires in a week or so. Can you recommend a good, inexpensive hotel.I currently have a reservation at the Gran Hotel Hispano. Any word on that? Can you also recommend some restaurants that are vegetarian friendly or with options. What do you mean by foods to bring with you also. Thanks in advance.

Gaby S

For $70 a night the Guido palace in Recolleta was a bargain. Ritzy area of town dirt cheap. OK pretty plain rooms, but quiet and very well located considering the average room in BA is $150.

My husband and I are going to BA in October to visit our daughter who is an exchange student there. We are researching the hotels in the Recoleta area (our daughter says this is "the place to stay"). I would also be interested in any input as to hotels/apartments in this area that people know about or have stayed in. We're currently checking out LoiSuitse Recoleta, Apart Recoleta, and Apart Ulises. I know there is also the Alvear and Caesar, but we're in need of a 2 bedroom for under $300. Thanks
for anyone headed to Argentina, there are a lot of hotel choices and probably the one you pick will be the wrong one. try the Best Western at Viamonte for $75, get two small rooms and peace.

Anyone travelling toward Iguazu Falls, Misiones, or Corrientes who would like an authentic Argentinean experience and unforgettable boat cruise should contact me at my e-mail--or visit our associate's website in Argentina: www.geocities.com/raulbaudu. We never had a better time!

Hey you all! I live in Argentina and traveled almost all across this country. I love this land, so do not hessitate emailing me to get advice. I live in Buenos Aires (Baires), but me and my wife traveled to Europe, Turkey, Latinamerica, and North America, so I have a pretty good idea on how to travel with or without money. See you down here. [email protected]
