rafting

Trying to make a decision on which rafting company to take for the Pacuare River full day rafting trip. Rios Tropicales or Exploradores Outdoors. I have found nothing negative on rios Tropicales, but several negatives on Exploradores outdoors. This would be an obvious decision except that Exploradores travels 4-5 miles further on the day trip. So its more rafting which equals more fun. Does anyone have experience with either of these companies?

We've used Rios Tropicales for rafting but not specifically the Pacuare; they were great - very fun but also safety conscious. I'd rather go with a company that gets good reviews. What were the negatives about the other company?

Most of the negative responses were from overcharging and then not being able to get a refund. A couple pick up problems and then a few responses fro being ripped off from when trying to buy the CD they offer. Your probably right, I should go with a proven winner. My gut tells me Rios Tropicales!

We've done the Pacuare twice with Rios Tropicales. Fantastic outfitter.

We did Exploradores Outdoors and it was awesome! The guides were great, we felt safe, and no over charging as you read in reviews. We booked through an agency (Puerto Viejo Satellite) not directly. I would highly recommend them.

We booked our trip in January with Rios Tropicales. Our guide was super & safety conscience. I'm sure he told us that they put in above the others so I thought their trip was longer. It was one of our top experiences. Had a wonderful buffet lunch when we were done. They've recently gotten some special awards as well.
