Hi ...Although we've never stayed at this hotel I'm very familiar with the area. We usually stay at a condo which is almost right across the street from it. It's definately an older hotel but I've heard it's not bad. The location is great. All of the Conchas Chinas area (southside of the old town) is beautiful...very exclusive.Right beside the hotel you're inquiring about is the Lindo Mar which has a great little oceanside restaurant & bar. If you do stay in this area be sure to go there at least once for happy-hour and lunch! The area you're looking at is definately OUR preferred area...you're close to all the restaurants and shopping and it's very lush & green in this area. Don't hesitate to Email me if I can be of any other help to you (re: great restaurants, shopping, etc.)

Hola,
I was at Playa Conchas Chinas last year in January. The place was right on the beach. Although the beach here was rough and rugged,it was very clean and clear compared to the beach of Playa de los Muertos. Don't eat the food at the restaurant upstairs. the service was extremely slow and wasn't good. go to the restaurant of Linda Mar next door; the food was good and the service was friendly. My room was basic and clean. Housekeeping services were varied. the pool here was very very small(like a dipping tub) but you can use the pool at Linda Marnext door;I did. If you like to stay in a relatively quiet area with a clean beach, this place is for you. Do not try to be chummy with Miguel, the hotel front desk clerk, or he'll try to kiss your cheek every time he greets you.

Buena Viaje!
