Playa Conchal to Tamarindo

Hello. I'm a newbie and very happy to have found this helpful site! Could anyone tell me how far Playa Conchal is from Tamarindo? I'm planning my wedding for Spring 2004 in Tamarindo. However, some guests have expressed an interest in staying at an all-inclusive, in particular Paradisus Playa Conchal. Would these guests be able to get to Tamarindo relatively quickly and cheaply to participate in a few pre-wedding events? Any advice concerning the general area is much appreciated.
Thanks!

See Lisa'a excellent description of Paradisus on May 12 2003.

Tamarindo isn't far from Playa Conchal where we stayed...We took a van to visit somebody in Tamarindo.. Taxi cabs are expensive...and sat the time the roads in Tamarindo were like river bed.. Since there are several guests who want to stay there I would assume that a van with a driver would be the best way.

When we stayed at the Paradisus the taxi van was $20.00 to Tamarindo, no matter how many in it. The trip was about 20-30 minutes tops. If they are staying at the Paradisus they can arrange the taxi right at the taxi stand next to the front desk. They can even make arrangements for their return trip back to the resort if they want.
PS>>>Thanks to the note regarding my trip report. Glad you enjoyed it.

The road isn't too bad, but since the cab os so easy and inexpensive, unless you plan on making the trip often I don't see the need in renting a car.
