If Oro does not have room La Corteza and Hotel Alta are great choices as well! I live in CR and am from the Darien/NYC area and use these for families, friends, and clients of our place on the Nicoya Peninsula! Very nice, both have shuttles and Alta has great food and views!

I thought the food at Hotel Alta was overrated. Sounded good on paper but not as good on the taste buds.
