Need Reservation shuttle transport?
Do you think I need to reserve a shuttle from GUA to Pana and from Pana back to Antigua? Or should I just show up and find a shuttle? We are traveling from Dec 26 to Jan 2.
thanks

I'd reserve in advance as they do fill, even when I travel in the summer; holiday seasons are supposedly busier. They go at specific times and if you just try to show up you may have just missed one or have to wait. A day or 2 in advance might be enough but I wouldn't risk it unless you have a few days to play with for each trip. Have great visit and be sure to tell us all about it.

You should always reserve at least a day in advance. You can almost never just show up at the vehicle and get a seat, if that's what you mean by "just show up."
Panajachel and Antigua are big Christmas destinations for people from Guatemala City. You'll have some competition for shuttle space from local people too, although some of them would have their own cars or take public buses.
I'd reserve a day or, even better, two in advance.

I have been trying to make transportation reservations in advance over the internet before I go. I have had trouble getting clear responses (or any response) on wheter I have a reservation. I amhoping a reservation a day or two ahead will be sufficient. Is it a bad idea to wait until I am there to reserve or will things be smoother?
Of course, we leave tomorrow so I think I may be stuck with reserving there at this point...
