One thing you definitely want to do while in PV is take a tour or water taxi to the village of Yelapa south of town. It is a small village on a beautiful cove with surrounding jungle covered mountains. Many palapa covered beach restaurants serving mostly seafood, and you can take a hike or horseback ride to a local waterfall. Also, spend some time in old town Vallarta as it is much more authentic than most of the other mexican resorts.

We are making our first trip to Mexico in September 2000. We will be staying in the Royal Decameron Costas Flamingos , Neuvo Vallerta. we would really like some more info. on what to do and what not to do. Will the Mexicans appreciate our Scouse sense of humour or should we tone it down? We don't want to offend any one - we just want to have a good time, can you help?

Hi, I thought I should tell you about our experience. We had a company called Royale Tours make all our arrangements in Puerto Vallarta last time and they were just great. Everything was perfect, they gave us good recommendations, excellent and very friendly service while we were there. I can recommend you to contact them at [email protected] <BR>Have a great trip !!
