Machu Picchu - Least Crowded Day?

We will be in Peru in November. Is Sunday the least crowded day to visit MP due to the Pisac market? if not, which day of the week is best?

Thanks!

November is low season so no day will be that crowded.

We used that philosophy and went to MP on a Sunday in April 07. It got a bit crowded for about an hour or so between 11-12. But it really wasnt bad at all. Wasn't crowded when we arrived in the am and then after lunch, 1ish, very empty until we left around 3-4. I figured it was worth trying to arrange our trip to go to MP on a Sunday since the markets are such big draws.

We were just there on a Monday in the end of May. I'd read that Mondays are often quite crowded so was worried that there would be tons of people. We didn't think it was bad at all.

We also went on a Mon, which is supposed to be the most crowded. But not really. Near the principal plaza area, it was a bit crowded but not packed. In other areas, we were mostly by ourselves. By late afternoon, it was practically empty when we watched the sunset from the Watchman's Hut.

This was around mid-May. Nov should be even less crowded.

I was there in October and interviewed the director of MP for a project I was working on. He told me that their numbers show that Sunday is the least busy day, exactly for the reason you describe. More visitors in the region tend to take advantage of the Pisac market that day.
