Lost Iguana Help
I am about to book with Lost Iguana for my honeymoon. We are booking a luxury suite. I know there are units on the upper and lower level with the difference being that the lower level has an outdoor shower and the upper level has valted ceilings. Does anyone have any opinions on which one is best? Should I request a preferene? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We always stay on the second level because we like the privacy of the balcony. If you're on the ground level, people are walking by. Also second level rooms have nice jacuzzi tubs; I don't think the first floor rooms have those because they have the outdoor shower. Jacuzzi tub is really romantic. Also I think the second floor rooms would have a better view of the volcano because there are a lot of gardens and greenery on the lower level. LI is one of our favorite hotels.

You're welcome and congratulations on your marriage. If you have time at all, the Peace Lodge is a wonderful hotel for a couple of nights, not sure if you have everything booked already, but it's a beautiful property with indulgent rooms perfect for a honeymoon. Jacuzzi tubs, waterfall showers, pretty views, balconies, 5 waterfalls on the property, etc.

Yeah the peace lodge is a little too pricey and I feel like I wouldn't really have enough time to fit it in. We are arriving on July 28 and spending 4 nights at lost iguana then we are going to manuel antonio and spending 4 nights in the lower level of mot mot, our last night will be spend near the airport, most likely at xandari but aren't 100% set on it yet.

Kathy,
You're going to have a great time! We (family trip ...not our honeymoon :-0)spent 3 nts at Lost Iguana and a week at Buena Vista Villas this past summer and had a blast. While I'm sure you have your plans set, here are few recommendations:
Arenal area (Lost Iguana)
Eco Thermales for dinner and hot springs
La Fortuna Waterfall
Sky Trek for Ziplining
Hanging bridges (neat little cafe at the entrance is good)
Manuel Antonio
White Water rafting
Tulemar / Buena Vista Beach is awesome
Enjoy!!!

Congrates,
Coming from MA might also consider
www.thealtahotel.com
stayed there in July
$100 expedia.com
very romantic but moderate in price
In Escazu with airport shuttle
Very nice area cheaper than Xandari
which is on the other side of SJO.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll be certain to check out the alta hotel. What I like about Xandari, is that it appears to have really nice grounds, and that is an added bonus b/c once we get to the last hotel we just want to stay on the property. So Xandari seems like it might be perfect but I am definitely open to any other suggestions anyone may have!
