Laundry Facilities in CR ??

Oops, I didn't select Costa Rica the first time I posted this...

Message: I'd like to pack as light as possible, but I understand that it's often too humid to hang clothes up to dry. Does anyone know if there are laundry facilities in any of the following towns or hotels (other than paying the hotel a fortune to do it for us)?

Montezuma (El Sano Banano)
Manuel Antonio (Vilas Nicolas)
La Fortuna (Arenal Paraiso)
Puerto Viejo de Talamanca (Puerto Viejo B&B)
Bocas del Toro (Punta Caracol or Hotel Bocas del Toro)
Peace Lodge at La Paz Waterfall Gardens

Thanks!

There's a laudromat in Fortuna east of the soccer pitch. There is a laudry service out of Centro Mane in Puerto Viejo that charges about $4 a load rather than $4 per item like the hotels ;-)

My guess is that you'll also find something in Quepos and Montezuma, but I haven't looked.

Thank Ray! That's exactly what I needed to know. i'm hoping to bring everything in one carry-on sized bag.

We had laundry done by a couple of hotels and never paid a fortune. I believe we paid between $3 and $8 per basket of clothes. They were always beautifully laundered and dryer fresh.

There is laundry place in Quepos but we also used hotel laundry services and they were very reasonable. We used them at different hotels but I am sure you will be able to find them at most hotels.

Sorry I can't help you with specifics but generally look for signs saying "Lavanderia" - we used one of those full service laundry places in Tamarindo last year. You drop off your clothes one day and can pick them up clean and nicely folded the next. These are very inexpensive. We also used hotel laundry services a few times. Prices for those are usually $1-2 per item.

When we stayed in Manuel Antonio, I did take laundry to a place in Quepos; they came by clean, folded, on time, it was cheap.
