Late thank you to Shillmac for trip advice for family with small kids

Hi,

This is a late thank you for your help and suggestions for our trip to Costa Rica. We're the family that was traveling in Feburary with two small kids (a three year old and a one and half year old). We did a loop from San Jose to Savegre down to Uvita (we loved it there!!), then stayed in Manuel Antonio and finally spent a few nights at Vista del Valle. All of your suggestions were wonderful and we had a great time. Thank you so much!

Where did you stay in Uvita? We are probably staying too long in Manuel Antonio (5 nights) and I am wondering if we should venture down there as well.

I think Shillmac may have left for CR today, so she may not see this for a while.

In Uvita we stayed at the Cristal Ballena. We really liked it and would recommend it. For us 5 days in MA would be too long. On our first trip to Costa Rica (8 years ago) we stayed a few days in MA then went down to Domincal which was fun. I liked Uvita more than Domincal and think it's worth a few days. It more mellow than MA, but also much less touristy with really beautiful beaches. I also think Uvita won't off the beaten path forever so it's worth seeing now.

You are very welcome! So glad you guys had a great time. CR is quite a child friendly place.

We are now on the Osa Peninsula and have been for a little over a week. Having a fabulous time. Actually very little rain--even at night. I'm quite impressed! LOL. One of these days, we're going get socked in our entire time!

Our little granddaughter will be down on Aug. 2--after I return on Aug. 1 to get her! Wish me luck everyone!
