Hello all,
Please ignore my advice in my July 18, 2015 post. For those crossing from the USA into Mexico by land and are planning to stay in Mexico more than 7 days, there is an easier way of getting and paying for the requisite visitor's permit (Forma Migratoria Multiple) that I wasn't aware of last year. One can go to the Mexican government website: https://www.inm.gob.mx/fmme/publico/solicitud.html and fill out the requested information; you will be transferred to Banjercito website to pay and then transferred back to the Instituto Nacional de Migration where you can download, print and save your permiso. I did this process this year (pretty easy) and it seems to work-- I'm hopeful it will save me all the headache I experienced last year running like a chicken with his head cut off from bank to inmigracion office to bank to inmigracion hotline then back to bank for days trying to pay for my permiso in Queretaro.
Best wishes, Daniel
