La Paz Waterfall Gardens Buffet

I would be interested to know if anyone has had the buffet here and if was good or if there is some place else to eat nearby that you preferred.

Thanks.

We did the breakfast buffet which was very good. I don't think we ever did the lunch buffet because we were always out on day trips. We did visit one restaurant nearby (going back toward San Jose and taking a left at the stop sign, it's on your left overlooking a valley). Can't remember the name but it was decent and much more affordable for dinner than the PL restaurant. I imagine the lunch buffet is fine and convenient.

We had the lunch buffet in the open air restaurant near the hummingbird feeders.

It was tasty, especially since our appetites had been heightened from a full morning of enjoying the birds, gardens and waterfalls.

Yep, I remember thinking the lunch buffet was really good - simple well cooked regional food, just what we thought they ought to have - rather than some elaborate, not so good "continental cuisine" many CR establishments seem to strive for.

I thought the lunch buffet near the hummingbird garden was pretty good, and they had a good variety. If you're just doing a day tour, it's pretty convenient. The breakfast is pretty typical of CR, and the food in the restaurant upstairs (indoors) is very good -- I think it may have been a little expensive but it was worth it.

Thanks for your replies. I am anticipating that we will be there around lunch time. It looked a little pricey to me, but what the heck, I may never get to go back, so why not!

Thanks again.
