LA PAZ - Please help with Hotel Recommendations

Greetings Travelers,

The Posada Santa Fe Bed & Breakfast in LaPaz looks great on their website:
(http://www.quintasol.com/posadasantafe/posada2.html) but I would feel more confidence in booking it if someone out there has
actually stayed or been there and could give me their opinion. The cost is around $80 a night for two. OR Any other good places close to town.

Thanks in advance,

Janet

I recommend Los Arcos which is on the malecón just a couple blocks from downtown.

The LaConcha in La Paz is right on the water. We stayed there last February and had a great time. People working in the hotel were very friendly and helpful, and the Cortez Club, right next door, offers great whale watching trips.

I recommend Hotel Mediterrane. It's a beautiful place with about 10 different rooms in the Greek style with a Swiss/Continetal restaurant. It's downtown and about 100 feet from the Malacon. They do have a website.

Can anyone suggest a rustic, authentic hotel in La Paz? Pancho, I'm counting on you to know something about one or all of the following: Posada San Miguel, Lorimar, or La Purisima. Thanks.
Janet, sorry for jumping in on your request. After much research, I can say that you're looking at one of the more upscale places in town. I'm sure it'd be lovely.
