Just back from 14 day May trip
Hi all,
Just returned to reality late yesterday.
Had a fabulous time and will post a quickie trip report tonight or tomorrow hitting the highlights.
Thanks, again, to all who offered advice or guidance.
Got to run. A ton of business and other stuff to take care of before I can re-live our trip by posting here.
Fran

Hi Fran, welcome back, can't wait to hear all about your trip, will be taking care of my report this weekend.
I thought I had run into you at Bosque del Cabo, lol! The day before I left 2 couples showed up, the guys were surfers, had come over last minute like from Pavones/Zancudo area. But they were from the West Coast. Oh well!

Welcome back, Fran! Lots of good reports to look forward to this weekend! I'll have to carry my laptop with me!
Tully, hope you're feeling better. Poor Jose, I'm telling him you blamed it on his mango daiquiris!

By the way, Tully, you are sure to enjoy this!
My principal has been bringing 5 little kittens to school and keeping them in the book storage room for 2 weeks. Their mother abandoned them at birth, so she is feeding them round the clock! Isn't that great?!

Awww, and here today I had a vet appt (well not me personally), all is well. Oh and it wasn't Jose! It was a mango con leche from a little restaurant but I think it actually was the cabbage salad, but all is well now! We didn;t get to hear him play sadly as he's on a motorbike now but he gave me his cd - 1st edition

Welcome back Fran,
I'm looking forward to your trip review! You had some interesting locations planned for your itinerary as I recall.
I live in Florida as well so between you and Tully and I, I guess we're the majority rule on this particular thread. We'll have to make shillmac an honorary Floridian! ;-)
Tully,
Sounds like you are a big feline fan. So am I! My two guys are staring me down even as I type this (trying to will me into giving them a treat before bedtime!).

Welcome back from me too.
Shillmac, have a great trip, I think you're leaving soon, hope you are able to check in from time to time. That's so nice of your principle, how cool!
Count me in too as a feline fan, only have one, always adopt adult cats, so playing with kittens is always a treat!

shillmac,
I can't recall your departure date at the moment, but have a great trip.
Seems like a lot of us who love CR also love cats. Our 4 were sooo happy when we came home. Slept all over us that first night and have been almost constantly underfoot since.
I'll try to get that report posted this weekend.
Later,
Fran

Fran I have 4 too! Nice to see so many cat lovers
The morning I woke up after returning all 4 were crammed in around my head. I also wondered where all the cat hair had come from and were they hiding a balding 5th cat somewhere!

Yikes! I'm allergic as well. SO allergic. We used to have a couple of mama cats when our children were young. Always had lots of kittens around. Sometime after those years I developed a really severe allergy. My eyes start itching like crazy, nose running, sneezing. It's just awful.
Thanks for the good wished everyone! Leaving Saturday a.m. for NYC (planning on SO much fun!) and June 14 for CR. Just finished school up today, and I feel like I've been chased, caught, and tampered with. SO tired.
Yes, I would be glad to be an honorary Floridian! Appropriate at my age approaching retirement!
Tully, your pics were so good. Some were really outstanding. Still haven't seen the BdC ones, but I'll get to them soon. Thanks for posting them.
Have a good weekend, everyone!

Hi Shillmac,
Have a great time in NY, it's going to be nice and toasty here this weekend, we're having an early summer. If you need any last minute advice, let me know. I'll be here 'till next Thursday, then we head out to Utah/Las Vegas for vacation/business.

Perhaps you should e-mail me your phone number in case we find ourselves in a pickle!
It would be fun to have a Fodor meeting, but our time is so short and it sounds like you are going to be very busy with travel plans!
Have fun on YOUR trip!

owlwoman,
Just back last night--had an absolutely WONDERFUL time! Stayed 48th and 8th, but spent most of our time in lower Manhattan--southside Seaport, WTC, Century 21, Little Italy/China, Greenwich, Soho, Battery Park, etc. New area entirely for me. Loved every minute of it--will post more later. I didn't see your reply before we left. Thanks for your willingness to be "on call"!

Shillmac, Sorry I missed you, but glad to hear you had a great time in NY. Maybe next time you make it here.
You had beautiful weather, it was a great weekend.
We're off to Utah/Las Vegas tomorrow AM, I'll look for your trip report on NY when we get back. I usually don't get on a computer much when we're away. "See" you in two weeks.

Hi Guys, I did post a little trip report on Spark_Fly's trip report---figured she was used to my hijacking!
Hope you had a great time in LV, owlwoman (when you read this). It would have been fun to meet up. Yes, maybe next time!
Tully, my daughter may be living in Tampa soon, perhaps you two could meet one another sometime. She is relocating there.

Very cool, do you know which area? I only go over there to go to my spa, the mall or the airport, lol. It's funny, just today I was driving by the Friendship Bridge (http://www.friendshiptrail.org/) and wondered why I've never gone out there to walk, maybe we can meet in the middle!
