Itinerary Help

I have purchased frequent flyer tickets to Buenos Aires round trip for 7 days in April(not including travel time).

I was planning on spending 4 days in BA and 3 nights in Uruguay. One in Colonia, then rent a car and driving for 2 nights to Punta de Estes.

I have been reading other posts and questioning my choice of Uruguay.

1) Is Colonia not worth it?
2) Is it not a good idea to drive from Colonia to Punta? And is mid April not a good time to visit Punta?
3) Would there be something more worthwhile to do with those other 3 nights?

Thanks for your help,
Inor

How about a trip to Iguazú Falls?

It is absolutely breathtaking! Check this out <http://www.iguazuargentina.com/>.

I was thinking about going to the falls instead of Uruguay. Fodor's had suggested Colonia if only had 7 days in BA, and falls if had 10 days. But I take it both of you think that is a better choice for the extra days.

You can see Iguazú Falls in two to three days. IMO, it is one of the major natural attractions in the world!
