Islas Secas

Has anyone stayed at the Islas Secas resort which is on the Pacific side near David? It looks amazing but I wanted to talk to someone who has actually been there.

Thanks,
Joni

Its Opening is on Dec.22nd, 2004...It looks pretty cool though, and is just 20 mins. flight from David, Chiriqui.

I would like to ask this question again, since the resort opened in December.

Thanks,

I've wondered about it myself. Saw a first-hand review in NYTimes and in Islands Magazine. Sounds very amazing and exclusive. Seems they allow only a few people at a time, Dec-April.

As a follow up, I had asked my travel agent about this when I was booking my Panama trip (January 2005). She did not recommend it because the owner had a habit of cancelling all of the reservations if the hotel was not completely full. Maybe this will change with time, but I thought I would pass that along. Instead, we chose Hacienda del Mar on Isla San Jose, which was very beautiful.
