hotel rooms for 5 people????

Hi
My family, minus me and my husband (I'm so sad) are going to costa rica in January. There are 5 of them (adults and teenagers)and my parents really don't want to get 2 rooms. Any recommendations for hotels that have rooms that accomodate 5 people? They'll be visiting Arenal and Manuel Antonio.
Thanks

In Arenal, you might check the Lost Iguana. I know they have villas and casitas, but I would expect it to be pricey.

In the MA area check out Villas Mymosa. Some of their units will hold 5 people.

Also Costa verde - Casa Quinta and their bungalows

There are actually several accomodations that have 3 beds, 2 doubles and a twin, or something similar. Not villas (more expensive), but regular accomodations. I've come across that arrangement many times when looking for accomodations. Unfortunately, I didn't note the names of the hotels and can't help you with it. But I can tell you that, in those areas, there are available accomodations that would suit your group.

You might check with someone like Pat Hewitt and the Costa Rica Travel Exchange, who arranges trips for people all the time. I'll bet he would know of some places for you to check out.

The holidays are very booked in CR, so we finally turned to Laura at Tico Travel. We had people coming different days from different places & it was overwhelming. We've had to pay in advance. Hopefully all will turn out well. She has been very patient & helpful.

In MA, you might also check out Buena Vista Villas and Tulemar Bungalows; they get rave reviews.

Hi lutherkins,

If you do need help tracking down the right accomodations, I've also worked with both Pat Hewitt (trip #2) and Laura Lazo at Tico Travel (trip #1). They both did a good job putting trips together for my family.

Lutherkins,
I also suggest you check out Buena Vista Villas and Casas, Tulemar Bungalows, and contact Pat if you need help.

A junior suite at Linda Vista is close enough to Arenal, with less rain than the Observatory. Ask for La Habitacion room ---it had two big beds and a twin ---as well as a kitchen and sits all alone on a promontory ---the views of the volcano are spectacular around 2-3 in the morning from the balcony or even lying in bed...Avoid the restaraunt for lunch or dinner ---but the included breakfast was delicioso --- huevos rancheros ---hmmmm huevos rancheros

Thanks all
I think they are looking at booking costa verde ( I guess they have a house type room you can rent) and Los Lagos.
