Holidays and Buses

Does anyone know if tourist busses will be running on regular schedules Christmas day? Also ? is there any way to book an Ormeno trip in advance? I?ll be arriving in Lima late night Christmas Eve, and am hoping to head to Nazca first thing in the morning.

You will be arriving on NOCHE BUENA (xmas eve) it is the biggest celebration in latin america. make sure you find out about buses ahead of time. Am quite positive that buses will be available, but schedules could be limited. Xmas day , usually is very slow all over latin america, after partying all night in noche buena, people sleep in.

Thanks for the tips. I have tried e-mailing Ormeno through their website, but it never goes through. I'm a bit nervous to try calling, because although my Spanish is good enough to get me by in person, I really have trouble with it over the phone. So if anyone has other ideas, I'd be thrilled to hear them!

Nowadays, there are more and more people who speak English. It's great that you try to speak Spanish, but I think in this case you might try to give them a call during the core hours 9am -5pm.

Good luck!
