HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be going to Tulum in November for my honeymoon. I found a place for accommodations called Ana y Jose, but I would like to know if anyone has been there and what their experience was like. <BR>Thank you.

We returned Mar.13 from Tulum.Stayed next door to Ana Y Jose at Los Lirios (same web site.) We looked at the rooms at A & Y,very tiny, they cannot compare to LL But--- the service is lousy at LL. Do not count on beach front even if they guarantee your res. Ate at A & J twice and the food & service are much better. Can't beat the uncrowded beaches. If you want a nice room and a tub you can float in take LL and eat at A&J Also try Oscar and Lalo's for an Afternoon lunch right on the beach. It's at an Echo Center. Go to Akumal and eat dinner at the little outside restaurant with the Xmas lights. Try the delicious grilled shrimp in garlic butter and wind it up with coconut ice-cream. You will need a car to get toA&J or LL. Stayed at Shangri-La Caribe 10 years ago and it is built up and not as quiet now but had lunch there on the 12th and service and food were great!

I wanted to thank you for your response to my email. I have one last question. There is a website called fodors and it gave Ana y Jose a great review. However, it did say that there is a noisy generator next to it. Were you able to hear it when you visited Ana y Jose's?

Didn't hear a generator at A&J.A&J and LL are at least 1 hour from the Cancun airport. As I said the beaches there are as beautiful as they get and quiet!

I don't recommend Ana Y Jose for accomodations. They only have a small portion of land, so one building is behind the other completely blocking the wind, air and view. Stay next door at cabanas tulum. Every room has a little porch and a fantastic view of the oceon. You can't hear anything but the sound of the oceon. Good breakfast there, but for a romantic, delicious candlelight dinner, ALWAYS eat at Ana Y Jose's although every one knows this and it gets a little crowded. Driving to tulum has gotten a little scary lately. If you do stay at Cabanas, tell them they should give the monkeys to someone who will treat them right. Their names are Tacho and Evangelina and they need some monkey prozac.
