glover - Thanks for the quick reply. I think the houses all sound great! After my post, I checked out the website again, and unfortunately we'd be travelling during Spring Break this next trip, and there's a week minimum stay. BUMMER! I was thinking 3 nights before BDC. I think it would be perfect place to escape to with a few friends though, and I do hope to make it there eventually, in part based on your rave reviews! We'll be in CR Mar 21-Apr 6, and really want to save BDC for last. Thanks for the info on Encanta too. It's still on the list. You know how planning goes!

Oh, sorry, you asked what we had planned...
Right now it's looking like 3 nights Puerto Viejo, 3 nights Arenal, 3 nights MA and 5 nights BDC (1 night each end near airport).
What are you guys thinking about doing?

Hi Hip Virgo (and Hi Glover! I am sorry to hijack your thread),
We are still in the very planning stages but those look like our dates as well. I am trying to figure out what to add on to balance the expense of BdC.
Your trip sounds great! What will you be doing in Puerto Viejo? Have you decided on a place to stay in Arenal?

We're off to get last minute school supplies so I'll check back with later. In PV it's primarily chill time, beaches, hopefully snorkeling, bicycling around and probably return to the sloth rescue center. We go there to balance the cost of BDC! $55/night incl breakfast, plus good inexpensive eats in town. I was looking at Casa Linda too, but they have a week min during Spring Break week. Are you looking there as well? I'm looking at Los Lagos in Arenal this time since my daughter would have fun with the water slides. What are you guys thinking?
