final 4 nights in belize

we are going to belize for two weeks and trying to figure out what to do the last 4 days with young children. Any great ideas to round out our adventure? Here is our itinerary so far:

4 nights chaa creek

2 nights Tikal

4 nights Turneffe Islands

4 nights?

I'd certainly opt for Chaa Creek from where you can do a day trip to Tikal or spend 3 nights at Chaa Creek and one in Tikal. Turneffe is a great alternative if you prefer beach and a remote island on the atoll and are okay with snorkleing, kayaking and fishing. One lodge per island on these atolls.

With those last four nights, I'd probably head to one of the nicer beach resorts, either in Placencia, Hopkins or Ambergris Caye. AC is certainly the busiest, lots of food options, some nice pools, easy access to snorkeling.

i think the kids would enjoy being in a village the last 4 nights. placencia, san pedro, caye caulker, which ever they're all fun. all have lots of shopping, restaurants, and lots of other local kids.
