excursions for private group in Playa Del Carmen

We are headed to PDC with a group of 5-6 couples April 11-18th. We are staying at Riu Playacar. We are looking for a small private snorkel tour, maybe check out some sea turtles, cenotes, great beaches. It is our first visit to the area. The thought of a beautiful day on a boat, with a great guide, good snorkeling, and some cold drinks sounds just about perfect. I've read most sites mentioned for excursions, but would love to stay away from the big crowds. Most are pretty pricey.(although, we are prepared to pay) Some mention to just book at the resort after you arrive, any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Look into Edventure Tours. Tell them what you are interested in doing and they will put together an excursion for you and take you everywhere. They have a great reputation.

You mentioned booking when you get to the resort,. Most of those tours are BIG groups. With Edventure, it will just be your group and by the time youall share the cost, it will probably be less expensive.

Hola Shopping mom,

I know one guy that makes private tours just let them know what you want and they go at your pace and they are very proffesionals, they give you many options, no scheduled tours no estrange people on your van, usually at the hotel just sell what the big crowds want Xel-ha Tulum

Consider the excursion to Cenotes, much more interesting than the Theme park like Xel Ha and other very commercial options in the area.
