Early September Honeymoon

Hello, I am looking for advice on the best destination for my September 8th-20th honeymoon. I have been strongly urged not to go to the carribean islands because of the hurricane season so I was wondering if Mexico (PDC area) would be a better alternative, even though on the carribean. We want an all inclusive resort with an oceanfront room. We would like decent food with a nice clear beach to lounge on. We don't care to much about nightlife, we could always travel into downtown for that. We would also prefer an all-adult resort, but flexable. Any ideas? If the weather isn't going to be any better than USVI or Jamaica we may decide to go there. Thanks for any suggestions you may have.
Lindsey

September is part of Mexico's hurricane season...I had friends who honeymooned there for 10 days. It rained only 2, but that's a chance you'd be taking.

Why not try the caribbean's ABC islands -- Aruba, Bonaire, or Curacao -- they are outside of the "hurricane belt".

Lindsey,

I was married in November 2000. We did as Deanna suggested and went to Aruba. Aruba in clean, safe, many fine places to eat and fun night activities. Also, the weather was absolutely glorious. After one week in Aruba we hoped a cruise that left from Aruba for another awesome week of fun.

Aruba is fabulous. It can be expensive but you don't want to chance the weather. I highly recommend the Radisson it was just overhauled and has the best view of the sunset.

We were in Cancun last year for the same week (9/8-9/13) and we didn't have a single day of rain. My hubby & I are thinking of PDC also this year (8/30-9/5) and I'm not going to be discouraged about the weather. I am also researching your same criteria: all inclusive resort, decent food, nice clean beach, preferably all-adult. If $$ is no object, the Occidental Royal Hideway is hands-down the winner based on the reviews I read. I found a good website today that might also be helpful in your search: http//http://www.ramproductions.com/survey Check it out for reviews on all of the all-inclusives. If you make a decision, will you please post it here. I'd like to hear about your final choice. Maybe it will help us decide as well.
