Diving in Osa or Nosara in August?

Hi, I am trying to plan a family trip to CR in August and so far decided on 4 nights in Osa for hiking and wildlife and 3 nights in Nosara for surfing and relaxing. Husband would like to dive. Any suggestions?

If you stay in Drake Bay on the Osa you could dive at Cano Island. Not sure there are any other notable options for diving.

Be sure to check if your stay in Nosara coincides with the arribada at nearby Playa Ostional.

Thank you for the arribada tip! Will rethink the order of our stay and go to Nosara first! I was hoping to stay at BdC in the Osa so diving would be an expensive tour from there. Do you know if Playa del Coco or Papagayo is good diving/snorkeling in August and accessible from Nosara?

I don't know if there's any great diving in that area ever, to be honest. Nosara is not close to those areas at all.

Forgot to add--hotels in the Nosara/Ostional areas should be able to tell you when the arribada is expected.
