Destination Wedding Ideas
Hello! After postponing our Seattle wedding and then finding out the venue recently permanently closed, we are planning a destination beach wedding instead. I feel like I have done countless hours of research but am still struggling to find "the venue." Our goal is September, which is why we have certain limitations on flight duration and room cost to make it more feasible for our guests to join given the < six month notice.
We are already legally married, so just looking to plan a simple vow ceremony for ~30 people on a nice beach and celebrate after.
Here's what we're looking for, if anyone has suggestions!

Here's what we're looking for, if anyone has suggestions!
- < $250/night per room unless all-inclusive, and then up to $350
- < 12 hours from Seattle
- Beachfront hotel/resort, ideally something more modern and/or updated with amenities like a pool, spa, etc.
- Small to medium venue (15 - 200 rooms)
- Adults-only is fine if family-friendly hotel/resort(s) nearby
- 60 mins or less from destination airport, if possible

Suze should be able to help you out, her being a fellow Seattle dweller and PV fan. But be aware September is probably the absolute worst month weather-wise to travel to the places you've tagged. Think heat, rain, humidity & hurricane season. I might wonder about Loreto in Baja California Sur.

Well there is also the Riviera Maya area besides PV but one thing about all-inclusive resorts is if your guests are not staying there, and you and your husband are, your guests will have to buy a day pass which is about $80-100pp and up.Those day passes are also just that, normally only good until 6pm or so. There are also nigh passes good from 6pm to midnight or 2am. Or there are combo passes. As you can see, the costs for non-AI guests to come visit you adds up.
