CR Monthly Rental

We would like to return to Costa Rica for a few months next year, probably Jan.-Mar. We have been to both Manuel Antonio and Gunacaste and we like the MA area better because of the rainforest and wildlife.

Any advice regarding this idea, or sources to find a 3 month (seasonal) rental in the MA - Quepos area would be appreciated. We would be looking for a 2 bedroom unit, so that friends/family could visit while we are there. Preferably near the beach.

You should check out vrbo.com. I'm sure a lot of the owners would be happy to rent for a few months, and I'm sure they would be willing to reduce the published rates for a guaranteed three month income.

You should really check out the Dominical/Uvita area if you like wildlife. Definitely less touristy than MA but still has good restaurants, etc. Only an hour or so drive from the airport in Quepos.

If you like the rainforest and wildlife, you might check out the Osa area too.

There is a posting board via Yahoo which is frequented by locals in the MA/Quepos area. This should be a good avenue of information to post what you are looking for and hopefully a local can help you! Here's the link:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/queposmanuelantonionews/

Additionally, check out www.quepolandia.com This is published and distributed locally on the 1st of each month. There are tons of rentals listed. You might also consider putting a small ad in the classified area.

www.manuelantonioestates.com is a gated community at the edge of Quepos/MA. There are some private homes that are rented in addition to apartments.

Another area that comes to mind is Las Palmas which is located on the road to Hotel California.

There are just a few that come to mind immediately. I think the links above will get you started! Good luck! Lisa
