Four of us are planning a trip to Costa Rica in February and are going to fly into San Jose.We are then going to Tortuguero for a couple days. We are going to be taking a shuttle or fly to there. We next want to go to La Fortuna so we can explore Arenal.Should we go back to San Jose or continue from Tortuguero to La Fortuna?

You can either go from tortuguero to la fortuna or change a little bit the plans and go from san jose to la fortuna and from la fortuna to tortuguero. If you go by car both ways are around 5 to 6 hour trip.
