costa rica logistics again
Hi. Want to fly into sjo and drive down to dominical for a week and then drive up to ocotal (near coco) for a week and fly out of liberia.
what are these drives like? how long etc?
is there a place in the middle that would be interesting to stop for a night if the dominical/ocotal portion is too long? thanks

I think tully and hipvirgochick did a similar drive. Maybe they'll chime in for you or you could search their trip reports. The roads aren't always in the greatest shape. On our drive from Puerto Jimenez to BdC we had to drive through a couple of small streams and encountered cows in the road as well as a tree across the road.

volcanogirl, will do. i have been scouring the trip reports for help but have not found the ones you remember yet. we had a driver for our last trip and were thrilled we did-the road to la carolina was awful-huge rocks, potholes, cows-you name it!!!
thanks as always!!

p, from what I've read on other trip reports, it's about a four hour drive. I think you might have better luck getting responses if your post is more specific - i.e. "Driving from Dominical to Puerto Jimenez" or "Driving from Dominical to Bosque del Cabo," something along those lines. Maybe, hopefully! Sometimes people tune out thread titles that aren't specific. Tully has been posting for a long time so hopefully a post like that would draw some attention.
