Costa Rica help please! Monteverde and Guanacaste Region
We just booked flights to LIR round trip for the first week of April. Will be traveling with our two young kids (age 3 and 5), my husband’s parents, and my SIL/BIL and their 2 kids (7 and 9).
We are looking at 4 nights in Monteverde and 3 nights somewhere beachy in Guanacaste.
Would love any recommendations for accommodations that would fit all of us. We are hoping for something more charming/rustic than new/modern if possible. We stayed in The Lost Iguana near Arenal a few years ago and it was the perfect mix of comfortable and rustic and would love something similar!
If anyone has done these two places as a trip, please advise on anything you would recommend as we are just starting our plans and not sure where to start!
Thanks in advance

We stayed at Fonda Vela and liked it, but it's been several years so you may want to check reviews. We had a huge spacious room with a nice view of the garden. We stayed in a junior suite. Our room had a bathtub which seemed like a luxury in rustic Monteverde. There was also a restaurant on site. We saw lots of pretty birds on the property including a toucan and emerald toucanette.
