hip, so glad you're going to make it to Belize. Is this your first trip there?

Yep! You probably remember me doing a bunch of research a few years ago but I just never made it there. Now that CR seems to be a bi-annual thing, I'll be trying some new spots. I'll have 15 nights.

Yep, I remember. Wow, 15 nights will be fantastic. I think you'll really love it.

I think I will too! I'm going to lower my expectations for wildlife, having spent so much time in CR, and focus on other activities and sites.

Yes, focus on better snorkeling, ruins, and good food!

As a single traveler I know this sometimes effects the rates quite a bit compared to two people travelling together. But I was a little surprised when I received the rate plan for Lamanai vs. Chan Chich...CC was just approx $30 more per day (not including the transfer to CC). Lamanai does seem to have a few more free activities, but according the reviews CC appears to be much more luxurious and lots of wildlife at both. Either way I'll be waiting until green season specials to book, but thought I'd post the info.

LOL rates include transfers though, right? CC is definitely the more luxurious of the two.

Yes LOL does include transfers, so definitely money saved there. The transfer for CC is approx $230...I think that's round trip but I didn't confirm that yet.

Is that by road or air? I would think that's one way. CC used to be on luxurylink but I haven't seen anything recently.

Pretty sure I saw a link on Luxury Link a couple days ago. I've never considered going there because it was out of my price range, realistically. I would love including both LOL and CC!

Actually, I think I mispoke. I believe it was Chaa Creek that I saw on Luxury Link.

Maybe so. The deal that we got for Chaa Creek was on there. Saved us tons. I always confuse those two though.

Yeah, unfortunately those deals are usually only good for couples. ;-)

You're right, hip. That seems sort of discriminatory.

Unfortunately Chan Chich was no longer on Luxury Link when we went to Belize...it had been in the past though!
