cancun question 2

Message: is this a good deal:

$1157 price (this is the total including taxes) for 2 people on memorial weekend:

from chicago to cancun
3 nights - Oasis Akumal
all inclusive - includes air, the hotel, meals, drinks, hotel transport

or same deal for $1237 to Oasis Akumal or $1277 for Oasis Viva.

Good deal? Or I can get just get flights for $577 total and fend for the rest on my own (find hotel, etc).

any thoughts?

Not sure how the Oasis Akumal rates, but I have Always found I can do better by booking air and hotel separately if I do enough research.

The $1157 is for BOTH of you for air, hotel, taxes, meals, and transfers??
Airfare through Spirit is $570 per person and the Oasis is $200/day for the two of you. Add on transfers and that's about $150 more roundtrip. That is way more than the deal you got.
When you said just book the air for $577, did that mean for both of you or just 1 of you?
I would double check. I hope it's right, but it sounds too good to be true.

This sounds like a good deal, I recently checked flights from Chicago to Cancun and they ran $500 per person for round trip travel. No way you can touch airfare for both of you for $577 total.
