Cancun in June??
I am planning my honeymoon for next June and would really like to go to a fun, tropical place with beautiful beaches and great weather. I know that their are no guarantees, but would Cancun be sunny in the first two weeks of June? If not Cancun, then where? (I know Aruba because they do not get hurricanes) Thanks in advance for your help fellow travelers!

My family went to Cancun the second week of June last year and it was quite hot! Cancun is a clean, safe place with a lot of activities and great beaches. The people were very friendly and the language or currency was never a problem. Enjoy! If you need more info please e-mail.

Jen,

I was in Cancun several years ago around that time ... sunny and hot. One thing I would keep in mind - there were a lot of college and high school kids there partying to celebrate the end of the year..... depends what you are looking for.

Good luck.

Thanks for the responses. Actually, I am not looking for a teenage hangout. I thought June would be ok since most high school/college kids go to Cancun during Spring break. I am just concerned about rain and hurricanes during that time.

Any recommendations for a romantic place that doesn't get hit with hurricanes during June?

Thanks.

the yucatan is probably OK for weather at that time as far as hurricanes; september and october is when the hurricanes seem to hit there. but previous poster is right, cancun especially will be crawling with high school seniors on grad trips. you might try farther south, at playa del carmen, which has nicer beaches anyway than cancun, in my opinion. playa also has nice smaller hotels, as well as big resorts on outskirts, if you prefer that. as far as mexico goes, i think the yucatan beaches are the prettiest....

Have you maybe considered one of the all-inclusives between Tulum and Cancun called the Riviera Maya. The possibilites are endless. The weather isn't bad then especially if you stay near the beach during the day as the trade winds keeps the temperature at about 86. Playa del Carmen has many hotels and would be a great place for a honeymoon. My husband and I have been going there for 12 years and would be more than happy to assist you with any questions and or recommendations. And congradulations!

Hi Jen,

What about the resort located near playa del carmen called the Aventura Palace? A friend of mine went and loved it!!! They got married there in early June the weather was great, they had no rain, and no kids! This resort is adults only! Well good luck choosing, I would not go to Cancun in June to many kids partying!
