Hacienda del Mar is at least 20+ miles from Cabo and you would spend a fortune on cabs going to and from Cabo, or you could take the public bus during the day time. I would rent a car.

Maria-
My family and I just returned from Cabo...... I would definitely rent a car! It was our 1st visit to Cabo and we found it EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE!!!! We stayed at the Westin Regina (20+ miles away from Cabo). The roundtrip cabfare from the Westin to Cabo was $44! We broke down and went to a 1-hour timeshare pitch so we could get a free car rental for 2 days.

There are ATMs (mainly in the hotels/banks).

I definitely suggest you try the restaurant LA DOLCE...... there food is both good and very affordable!

Have fun!

Just got back from Cabo-loved it. We stayed at the Hacianda Beach resort. A great place on the ocean. Just a short walk around the marina to downtown. Found a great little restaurant a block behind Squid Roe on Ninos Heroes St. called "Mom's Kitchen" Mom is a lovely lady who is just a joy to meet. Have her make her special sangria with the diced fresh fruits. And invite her to sit down and share it with you. Talk about feeling at home. She just remodeled and expaned this beautiful little place. Had a fresh tuna dish that was just out of this world. Great prices but best of all a great memory. we will be going back next summer.

Sally,We found The Hacianda Beach Resort to be very clean.Liked the little things, got back from a nite out and the bed spread was pulled back. The grounds are beautiful maintained.I think it has the best location in Cabo.Right on the beach and just a peaceful walk around the Marina to town.Stop at one of the outside bars on the Marina and have a "pop".Just say "No Thanks" to the timeshare pests and enjoy yourself. If you do go to "Moms Kitchen" pls. tell her "Hola" for Ron & Lynn.from S.F.
