boring itinery?

Hello, this is one of best costa rica forum in web~~

I am planning to go to costa rica end of august/beginning of sep. Can't decide on couple issues so i am asking any help!!

I am going to fly in morning and go to La paloma lodge and stay there for 7 days....and go back to SJO and rent SUV to drive to jaco..and stay at Villa Caletas for 5 days...and drive to arenal and trying to stay for Tabacon resort for 2 days...

is this ok itinery? am I staying on place for too long? how's drive to jaco from san jose/ and to arenal from jaco?

If anyone can let me know of good activities...would be wonderful~~ =)

Thank you for your help in advance!!

I think you may find that 7 days at La Paloma is too long. 4 days will probably be enough. Maybe you would want to add 2 days onto your Jaco leg instead. Have fun!

7 days at La Paloma is a bit of a stretch. I enjoyed my stay there but...

I would add a couple of days to arenal.

don't know that there is much to do while at villa caletas for 5 days either but it is a pretty place to do nothing.

what I would do is cut a couple of days off of La Paloma and villa caletas. add a day or two to arenal, then think about staying at vista del valle near the airport. from there you have some very nice day trip options up to La Paz, Poas, further south to Orosi valley. There are also coffee plantations to visit.

I too believe 7 days and 5 days is too long.

I would suggest 4-5 nights at La Paloma and 3 nights Villas Caletas.

If you want to visit another Pacific Coastal area, go on over on the Nicoya Pen to Montezuma or MalPais/Santa Teresa or down to Manual Antonio for more activities - for 3 nights.

Your trip is mainly focused on the coastal areas, therefore you may want to add a few more nights in Arenal and the Central area of CR. It would certainly be worth it and round out your trip very interestingly.

Thank you for your kind advices. after reading all of you advising not to stay to long..i changed my itinery to..

6 nights at La Paloma( can't think of other place to stay, fight coming back on 14th day =)...)

3 nights at Villa Caletas..driving from SJO with 4x4 SUV...

3 nights at Tabacon resort..Driving same car from Jaco..

2 nights at Peace Lodge..Driving from Arenal..

Do you all think this is better itinery? I have not changed my itinery yet..and not sure if they are going to let me change reservation..but seems more balanced...

Thank you again for yout advices..I welcome any input to make this trip more comfortable!!
