Booking connecting flights Question
Hello,
We're due to arrive Belize International at 1:00pm and we've decided to take a flight to San Pedro on arrival from the municipal airport.
Does anyone have a sense of how long it might take us to get through customs, take a taxi to the muncipal airport, etc.? I know that in Costa Rica the lines can be long and slow, so am wondering if Belize is slow as well. I should add that we will be arriving the Saturday before Thanksgiving...maybe that will make a difference...
With a 1:00pm arrival, would I be safer with a 2:30pm, 3;30pm, or maybe even 4:30pm departure from municipal? Anyone know?
Thanks again for all the info,

Usually you get through immigration and customs in 30 minutes or less. It's 25 minutes or so by taxi to the municipal airport. You can probably make the 2:30, certainly the 3:30 (assuming your international flight is one time.) Might be a little busier U.S. Thanksgiving week, but probably times will be about the same.

A taxi between the airports is US$20 (for up to four or five people, not per person), and tipping isn't expected unless the driver has to help a lot with luggage. For one person, it doesn't make sense; for two, maybe, though it's a little more of a hassle. For three or more, a family or two couples traveling together, the savings are considerable.
Usually the same plane stops at both airports.
