Best time of day to plan activities during rainy season?
My family is headed to Costa Rica tomorrow (mainly Manual Antonio) for a week and a half and the weather forecast looks terrible. I seem to remember a guide we had on a previous trip saying that during the rainy season it typically rained during one half of the day and less so the other half, but I can't remember which. Is that even roughly accurate information? I'm trying to plan our activities accordingly, but the forecast to me looks rainy every day and all day!

Most days rain occurs during the later part of the day, following clear mornings. When I lived in San Jose years ago that pattern was so common that people rarely if ever bothered to check weather forecasts. Every once in a while a tropical storm system arrives off shore, affecting Costa Rican weather by generating longer all day and all night rains. The five trips that I made to Manual Antonio were all completed during the drier/less wet season.

We've been to Manuel Antonio during the rainy season. It did rain more often in the mornings, but it also rained during the afternoon and in the evening. Rarely did we have all day rain. We were still able to see and do everything we wanted to. Seems like the weather forecast almost always says rain from about May to November. Activities usually start pretty early in the day. Manuel Antonio Expeditions is a good tour company if you need one.

Sorry I meant to say it rained more often in the afternoon, but it really can rain at any time and wasn't consistently in the afternoon. Hope you get some sunshine. You never know; we went to the Osa Peninsula in July and didn't get a drop of rain. We felt pretty lucky!
