eco-water parks: x-caret is big and a lot going on. xel-ha is a smaller and not as much going on and great fish to see.
yal-ku lagoon in akumal is wonderful deserted and cheap. huge fish. watch the entry steps they can be slippery.
there are numerous cenotes along rte 307. hidden world and dos ojos are good. enjoy your trip.

ya know i have to apoligize. i didn't read your question well. from your 2 destinations i'm guessing you're cruising. on cozumel is Chankannab Park. there are lots of tours you can find by just goggling cozumel- snorkeling.
friends got off ship at costa maya (mahahual) and found good beach snorkeling near the pier. again you can do tours to the reef and i would look at www.locogringo.com for the name of a company. or search mahahual -snorkeling.
