Best Lobster in PV? Where is it? :)

I'm craving Lobster but I will wait until the beginning of May to have it when I am on vacation in Puerto Vallarta. I'm looking for recommendations for the BEST lobster in PV. Any seafood would do but lobster is my fave!!!

Thanks!

We had lobster at Hotel Lagunita in Yelapa , not far from PV . While it was delicious , and no complaints . Cold water lobster is yummier !!! ( this from a maritime girl , so it's hard to sway me !! lol )

Agree with Faithie. The Tropical claw less spiny lobsters are best Grilled & really do not compare to the New England lobsters. I seldom have them as demand as made them very expensive. Instead I enjoy the fish, shrimp & abalone all which are delicious.

Ah Stewbear, once again we are in agreement!

Lobster is very expensive compared to everything else seafood-wise and not very good looking IMO (this is not your Maine lobster believe you me!). The places downtown PV with signs saying "Lobster" appear very tourist trappy.

Myself, I stick with all the wonderful fresh grilled fish fillets or in garlic and butter and have shrimp as my special treat meal.

Okay, I think I'll leave the lobster for Maine.
I enjoyed the giant shrimps in PV, as well. We had a wonderful meal at Cuetos II. Any other restaurant suggestions for shrimp?

I like Mariscos Tino's in Pitillal, don't recall that I had shrimp there but everything is very good. It's a bit of a taxi ride to a different part of town, but well worth it (people know where it is).

Filo's upstairs,Next to Sweeny's on Olas Altas. You have to round the corner to find the entrance and go upstairs. Sit at a table to look down on Olas Altas. Garlic 1/2 Kilo shimp, fish burrito, coconut shrimp and fillet of fish are all excellent. You have choices of seafood in the burrito. Substantial portions too.
