Aventura Spa Palace
We are likely going to book at this resort for our honeymoon in December. Any advice? Is there a building we should request? Are some closer to the ocean than others? Any help would be appreciated.

Congratualations! You are in for a wonderful time. We loved Aventura. I don't have any advice as to which room/building b/c I thought they all looked equally nice, but we did really enjoy staying on the "Spa" side.

Great choice. Buildings/rooms are built like the Moon Palace. Originally it was Aventura Palace, then they built the Spa Palace next door and then began to sell them as one resort. I would ask for a room closer to the ocean, but they only put it in as a "request", so don't be disappointed. I liked the small lagoon and watching the water crash against the rocks. I also enjoyed this place better than Moon slightly as it was a little more "Mexican" from the way the lobby looks to the food. There was a guy making authentic mexican food from scratch upon order and we looked forward to that for lunch every day. (My ex was from Mexico City) Lots of nooks & crannies to curl up with a book and relax, but still be waited on. ENJOY !!

We haven't been on a honeymoon for 34 years, but love Spa. We originally bought at Moon Palace which is beatiful in its own right.
Spa is an elegant downbeat place to kick. if you really want to get away, take a day trip to Xpu-Ha.
you can also take the shuttle into Cancun or PDC for a change.
Great choice and have a wonderful time, it is special.
