ATMs, Credit Cards
Very quick question for anyone. I understand there are limitations applying to ATM withdrawals in Argentina. My question is - does this apply to credit cards. Also, are there any problems with using credit cards such as theft and general purchasing?

I withdrew 500 pesos from a Banco Fracais ATM using my visa in August...no problems....Also used my America Express card for purchases without problems.

WE depended solely on ATM's and credit cards and had NO problems.

When iwas there in janurary there was a $250 (atm withdrawal)peso limit per week. At the time it was still$1 USD to $1 Arg peso! Does anyone know if that limit still exists??

The $250 limit for withdrawals was forced in January to avoid the financial system to break. There is no limit at present
