The point of the warning is that you are vacationing next to a live, unpredictable volcano. It means you are in a danger zone, whether it were to have a serious eruption next week or in 2025.

They are built in a zone that wouldn't be safe in the event of a major eruption. You will be backing your car into its parking spot facing the road for quick evacation, and there are evacuation instructions posted on the property. Granted, it's not likely, but it does provoke some thought! The hot springs at Tabacon are beautiful, however, and people continue to enjoy them. The hotel is not somewhere I would choose to stay, however. Gets too many mixed reviews.

Hi Tully, did you and your favorite feline have a nice Christmas? Did he/she get new toys?!

***hijack in progress and I'm not even faithie!!

They got 2 new cuddly beds, and already had one, which leaves cat #4 deciding which bed will be the easiest to fight over I will write you soon, promise!

and to keep it CR-related...there are other hotels that are just as nice, or nicer even, not in the danger zone
